Philip E. Baruth is a professor of 18th-century British literature and
critical theory at University of Vermont. Baruth's stories have appeared
in TriQuarterly, New England Review, Black Warrior Review,
Carolina Quarterly, and Pennsylvania Review. He won the Black
Warrior 1994-95 Award for Fiction.
Baruth's second work of fiction, a novel-in-stories set in Burlington,
Vermont, titled The Dream of the White Village, is also available from Amazon.com.
Told in interlocking short stories, the novel focuses on a series of violent
clashes in a changing, and increasingly urban, New England town.
